    Overview:

    Our financial services client is seeking an Accounting Policy Manager to play a pivotal role in shaping and maintaining best-in-class accounting policies. This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams, provide strategic accounting guidance, and ensure compliance with evolving standards.

    Responsibilities:
    • Partner with leadership to navigate complex accounting issues, including business combinations, revenue recognition, lease accounting, and compensation under US GAAP and IFRS.
    • Review purchase price allocation models, legal agreements, and due diligence materials to assess financial implications.
    • Provide technical accounting insights during deal structuring to optimize financial outcomes.
    • Develop, refine, and implement accounting policies to ensure compliance with industry best practices.
    • Work closely with controllers to drive the successful adoption of new accounting policies and standards.
    • Collaborate with external auditors on accounting matters and regulatory compliance.
    • Stay ahead of emerging accounting pronouncements and assess their potential impact.
    • Contribute to SOX compliance by evaluating and enhancing internal processes.
    Requirements:
    • 5+ years of accounting experience within a Big Four firm and/or the financial services industry.
    • CPA certification required.
    • Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS with hands-on experience in complex accounting matters.
    • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and apply accounting principles effectively.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey complex concepts to diverse stakeholders.
    • A proactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership and the ability to work independently.
    • Project management experience and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Compensation
    $180,000 per year
