  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    In this role you will work as a part of the Technical Program team. You will prioritize operational and technical team needs and guide technical teams as they deliver on clear, concise, and measurable deliverables.

    • Coach and assist RISC-V members through the creation of certification requirements and processes both at the ISA (processor) level and the hardware and software platform levels
    • Assist the technical teams as they prioritize operational and technical team requirements and gaps
    • Guide the technical teams to define and deliver clear, concise, and measurable deliverables.
    • Provide feedback to and work with the RISC-V Executive Team and the RISC-V Board of Directors to build and deliver on the roadmap for the various components of the certification programs
    • Attend certification meetings and track action items for all the certification working groups.
    • Coordinate the development with external contractors, where applicable
    • Drive the definition of the role of external labs and centers of competence, as well as the selection and qualification process
    • Participate in conferences and industry events to promote the certification initiative
    • Leverage and customize internal apps like Jira, Google Drive, Groups.io, GitHub, LFX etc. to support RISC-V Certification efforts
    • Support onsite or virtual events including RISC-V conferences
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • BS/BA degree in EE or ECE
    • 5+ years development experience working in processor verification
    • 3+ years program management experience
    • Expert in processor Instruction Set Architecture (ISA) and computer architecture.
    • Experience with industry standards, specifications, interoperability and compliance test plans
    • Experience in public speaking and effective engaging communication
    • Experience working in a community where decisions are made collectively
    • Understanding of operating systems, hypervisors, virtual machines, software development
    • History of successful completion and maintenance of projects
    • The ability to respond and adapt to a highly interrupt driven environment
    • Effectively manages time, sets goals, and effectively communicates status
    • Adept at guiding technical leaders to communicate goals, track status, and resolve roadblocks
    • Must have a service oriented outlook: makes all RISC-V members feel they are valued
    • Ability to understand and operate within complex, multi-stakeholder environment
    • Knows how to follow up and drive projects to closure in a timely manner
    • High level of written and verbal skills, must be concise, articulate and understandable
    • High level of attention to detail, content, and form

    Preferred Skills

    • Experience in processor verification
    • Experience in platform software development
    • Open Source software and hardware community experience
    • Proficient with GitHub, Google and Microsoft Suites, and Atlassian tools (Confluence, Jira)
    • Advanced degree in CS / ECE / EE or equivalent

    Additional Information

    Salary range: $140,000 - $185,000 USD
