Technical Internal Sales Specialist – Material Handling & Power Transmission
Job Summary:
As a Technical Internal Sales Specialist, you will focus on driving new business development within the material handling and power transmission sectors. You’ll leverage CRM tools, actively pursue leads, engage in cold calling, and provide proactive yet professional follow-ups on quotes. Your role will require a deep understanding of distribution models in the United States and familiarity with chains, sprockets, and other material handling components used in heavy material handling Industires (Lumber, Paper, Cement, Mining, Power generation, Biomass/Renewables, Steel, Food and Bev.)
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the day to day inquires of current growing customer base.
- Supporting the day-to-day costing and quoting for the external sales team.
- Lead Generation & Business Development: Identify, qualify, and pursue sales opportunities via cold calling, email outreach, and CRM prospecting. Employ a hunter mentality to grow new accounts and increase sales.
- CRM Management: Utilize CRM software to manage leads, track customer interactions, and keep accurate records for follow-ups and sales progression.
- Quotation Management: Prepare accurate and competitive quotes, follow up promptly to secure orders, and adjust strategies to maximize conversion rates.
- Product Knowledge: Apply technical knowledge of chains, sprockets, and material handling products to understand customer needs, answer inquiries, and recommend the most suitable solutions.
- Market & Competitor Analysis: Maintain awareness of competitor offerings and industry trends to adapt sales strategies.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain professional relationships with clients, ensuring customer satisfaction while identifying potential upsell opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Proven track record in a hunter-style sales role, ideally in material handling, power transmission, or related sectors.
- Familiarity with CRM systems, cold calling techniques, and follow-up protocols.
- Strong understanding of distribution models and supply chain logistics.
- In-depth knowledge of chains, sprockets, and related material handling equipment.
