    The Technical Manager (TM) plays a crucial role in assessing new market opportunities and leading key residential and commercial projects for EcoSolar USA. The TM is responsible for project management, from early technical sales support to system installation and commissioning. This role involves representing EcoSolar USA in customer and stakeholder meetings, trade shows, and conferences. The TM communicates product features, benefits, and technical concepts effectively to meet customer needs. Additionally, the TM manages project expectations, oversees project teams, and ensures progress through all phases of solar installation services, with full responsibility for assigned projects and equipment from start to finish. Responsibilities: • Oversee all technical aspects of solar installation from site survey to completion of the project including job safety and protocol. • Maintain project schedules, develop project timelines, and manage people and materials to complete jobs on schedule and within budget guidelines for assigned projects. • Review project plans, specifications installation instructions to ensure that the project is built according to the approved design and specifications. • Oversee site surveys including detailed measurements of roof and ground surfaces, document structural framing and roof system makeup, and electrical system configuration. • Conduct site safety assessments for feasibility and identify all safety hazards on job-site, lead daily safety meetings. • Successfully manage multiple projects through all phases. • Direct interface with customers on technical and product questions. • Manage Sub-contractors. • Independently manage performance and productivity of installation subcontractors for energy storage projects. • Coordinate the delivery of material and equipment to optimize job efficiency, and ensure production is not impacted or additional costs incurred. • MPU and MPU relocation. • EV chargers installation. • Troubleshoot PV system performance issues, and locate and isolate ground faults. • Perform OEM testing, troubleshooting, repairs, and upgrades/revisions to a broad range of equipment in the renewable industry. • Ensure that workers and operators are working in a safe manner. • Responsible for quality assurance for all work performed by the crew and sub-contractors. • Maintain expertise in commercial and residential scale solar products, interconnection permitting processes, and installation commissioning practices and provide training to junior designers. • Develop and enforce system design standards, processes, policies, and cost analysis guidelines and train the junior designers on implementation. • Must be able to react and remedy production-related issues as they arise in the field. • Manage vendor relationships to ensure adequate and current technical training on detailed engineering requirements is maintained. • Communicate with internal and external customers as required. • Provide technical system design-related training and support to the sales team. • Accountable for all rental and borrow equipment from warehouse. • Additional duties as assigned by the Operations Director and maintaining flexibility to support company objectives. Qualifications: • BA/BS degree in Business, Technical, or Science discipline or 7+ years of experience in the clean fuel or energy industry. • Strong acknowledge of Electric Code and National Electric Code. • Excellent organizational and time management skills. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal. • Extraordinary commitment to the highest level of customer service. Ability to work well with customers; responds verbally and in writing to their inquiries, remains calm when dealing with upset or angry customers, and listens to their concerns/questions. • Positive, outgoing, energetic team player who enjoys working in a collaborative team environment. • Proven ability to function in all phases of the project development from sales proposals and design through project completion and closeout. • Knowledge/proficiency in Microsoft Office programs. • Knowledge of OSHA construction safety standards, especially as it relates to fall hazards. • Demonstrated a sense of urgency and ownership in all assignments. • Ability to collaborate closely with other team members on a wide variety of projects. • Prepare timely and accurate paperwork. • Participate in marketing activities and business development efforts. • Attendance is a mandatory function of this position. Compensation: $75,000 - $85,000

  • Compensation
    $75,000-$85,000 per year
