  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    • Set process standards within the Engineering/Technical Services/Production/Purchasing departments to initiate/ensure successful implementation of projects/goals
    • Create and improve documentation of company processes and systems for efficiency and accuracy
    • Continual communication and cooperation with departments (Engineering, Technical Services, Production, Purchasing) to highlight potential concerns and risks and maintain and improve quality of products.
    • Manage project workloads and distribution of tasks in Engineering and Technical Services
    • Monitor and manage daily processes/projects of Engineering and Technical Services to ensure continuation, quality, and timely project completion
    • Oversee Engineering and Technical Services department needs and issues and assist in prioritizing and analyzing the causes and solutions
    • Supports the Engineering/Technical Services/Production/Purchasing teams on product compliance and regulatory requirements
    • Research and assist Purchasing department to find components in cases of supply chain disruption and end of life products
    • Participate in investigations of issues and create solutions and corrective actions to problems and complaints
    • Learn technical systems (Sage, PLM, Zendesk, etc.) and how we use them to improve their use
    • Supervise non-routine projects on an as-needed basis
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s or higher in Engineering (Preferably Electrical/Electronics)
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical role
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a management role of small teams
    • Experience in analyzing processes/procedures in a manufacturing environment to improve and document for efficiency and accuracy
    • Ability to problem-solve complex technical situations and issues
    • Team oriented person who gets along with others well, but can take charge and lead
    • Experience with PCB layout and design for EMC and safety compliance (UL, CE, and FCC)
    • Understanding of medium-speed (50-500 MHz) signal integrity concepts
    • Knowledge of serial communications protocols and hardware interfaces including I2S, I2C, SPI, Ethernet, and MIDI
    • Solid background in debugging and analysis using oscilloscopes, protocol analyzers, and other test equipment
    • Ability to specify and verify audio performance
    • Knowledge of AC-DC mains and DC-DC switch mode power converter design
    • Experience with revision control and collaboration systems: Git, Jira, and Trello
    • Knowledge of software development life cycle, including planning, creating, testing, and deploying embedded software applications
    • Experience with software programs: Pads Projects 9.3, MPLAB IDE v8.92, Visio, Visual Basic 6.0, AutoCAD, Altium Designer, and other PCB design tools
    • Skilled in prioritizing and executing tasks in a high-pressure environment with multiple changing priorities
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Experience collaborating with cross-cultural teams
