  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    • Assemble and manage highly effective proposal development teams, with a focus on Hardware design, Flight and Test Software, Electrical Engineering, and Radiation Effects for space applications
    • Coordinate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to design solutions that meet customers’ mission objectives, standards, schedule and cost constraints while being aligned with SEAKR’s technical roadmap and capabilities
    • Work with Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, and Finance to assemble cohesive bids
    • Create and drive proposal schedules as required, and work closely with the proposal team to maintain scheduled deliverables up to final proposal submittal
    • Lead and contribute to the writing of proposal responses
    • Support the development and review of Basis of Estimates (BOEs) for proposal pricing
    • Coordinate the answers of Fact-Finding questions received from potential customers
    • Coordinate and lead major project meeting events such as Bid/No-bid Meetings, Kick-off Meetings, Strategy Meetings, Pricing Reviews, and Executive Reviews
    • Support and analyze debriefs, gathering client feedback, and help implement continuous improvements ideas.

    Qualifications

    • Demonstrated ability leading engineering-focused proposal efforts
    • Experience with electrical space systems
    • Understanding of proposal best practices, processes, and tools.
    • Demonstrated team leadership ability
    • Strong written and verbal skills
    • Strong negotiation skills
    • Ability to work effectively under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
    • Proficiency in MS Office Suite including MS Project
    • Experience developing and adhering to a schedule

    Minimum Requirements

    • Bachelors in Engineering or related field
    • 5 years of engineering experience in a related field
    • US Citizenship

    Preferred qualifications

    • At least 10 years of engineering experience in the space / aerospace industry
    • Knowledge of space industry markets including experience interacting with domestic and international customers
    • Familiarity with space electronics, space mission concepts, spacecraft mission phases, and mission life cycles
    • Experience evaluating or crafting RFQs, RFIs, ROMs, and RFPs
    • An active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph a plus or have the ability to obtain

    Additional Information

    Compensation: Base salary range is $125,000 - $175,000 per year, depending on qualifications. SEAKR has very rich medical, dental and vision insurance plans, along with a generous 401(k) retirement plan. In addition to base salary, employees are eligible for a year-end bonus. SEAKR offers a variety of paid leave, such as vacation, sick, bereavement, and FMLA.
