    About the Role

    As a Technical Repair Specialist, you will play a critical role in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining advanced electro-mechanical instrumentation. This position requires a combination of technical expertise and customer support skills, ensuring that our equipment functions optimally for clients. You’ll work in a hands-on repair environment, collaborate with engineering teams, and provide remote support to troubleshoot issues.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Remote Troubleshooting & Support: Use digital connectivity tools to assess equipment performance, analyze reports, and provide recommendations to customers.
    • Diagnostics & Repair: Inspect, test, and repair precision instrumentation, including both hardware and software components.
    • Service Documentation: Maintain accurate service records in CRM systems, ensuring timely and clear communication.
    • Customer & Internal Support: Offer phone-based technical assistance to customers and field personnel, guiding them through potential solutions.
    • Inventory & Parts Management: Order necessary components for repairs and suggest inventory adjustments when needed.
    • Quality Control: Perform final checks on repaired and new instruments before they are returned to customers.
    • Collaboration with Engineering Teams: Provide feedback to enhance the serviceability and design of products.
    • On-Site Maintenance: Occasionally travel to customer locations to conduct repairs and ensure system reliability.

    What You’ll Need

    • An associate degree in engineering or engineering technology is preferred
    • Experience in a lab, field service, or electronics repair environment is preferred
    • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and CRM tools such as Salesforce.
    • Hands-on experience with analytical instrumentation and troubleshooting techniques is preferred
    • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
    • Ability to lift and transport equipment up to 70 lbs.
    • Willingness to travel occasionally (<10% annually).
