We seek a dynamic and experienced Technical Sales Manager to lead a sales team and drive revenue growth. The ideal candidate will combine strategic sales leadership with deep technical expertise to deliver optimal solutions to clients and expand market share. This is a direct hire position, and the candidate offered this role will be hired directly by our client.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Leadership & Strategy
- Develop and execute sales strategies to meet revenue goals.
- Identify new business opportunities and drive growth in both existing and new markets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners.
- Mentor and manage the sales team to meet individual and team targets.
- Monitor performance and implement improvements where needed.
- Technical Expertise & Product Knowledge
- Serve as the primary technical resource during the sales process, explaining product value and benefits.
- Collaborate with R&D and engineering to tailor technical solutions for clients.
- Stay informed on industry trends, competitor offerings, and product innovations.
- Client Relationship Management
- Lead high-level client meetings and presentations.
- Provide tailored technical consultations to meet client needs.
- Ensure excellent customer satisfaction through ongoing support and issue resolution.
- Team Development & Collaboration
- Coach the sales team to enhance technical sales skills.
- Develop training programs to improve product knowledge and technical selling.
- Collaborate with marketing and engineering teams to align customer needs with product offerings.
- Sales Reporting & Analytics
- Track and analyze sales performance, pipeline, forecasts, and close rates.
- Report regularly to senior management on sales achievements and challenges.
- Utilize CRM tools to streamline processes and optimize decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related technical field (MBA or technical master's preferred).
- Experience: 5-7 years in technical sales, with a proven track record of leading teams and driving growth.
- Skills:
- Strong technical acumen with the ability to explain complex solutions to non-technical clients.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to collaborate across departments and manage a sales pipeline effectively.
- Strong problem-solving and solution-oriented approach.
Preferred:
- Experience in industries like aviation, industrial equipment, or similar.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and substantial industry network.
Some travel is required to visit clients and potential clients. Typical office hours are Monday - Friday from 7:30 am - 4:30 pm.
Starting Pay: $90,000 - $100,000 (base) + commission
Benefits are offered after 60 days of hire.
