Job Summary:
Responsible for functioning as an individual contributor and subject matter expert for the company’s near-infrared sensing technology to assist with customers both in sales and account management on-site and remotely. This sales position is responsible for technical support – primarily customer quotations and business development case studies for various composite applications. Key emphasis will be on the ability to understand customer requirements and rapidly demonstrate how near-infrared technology solutions can be utilized to provide customers with cost savings and production improvements. This position will require approximately 50% travel with the business development team to customer facilities for various assistance and troubleshooting needs and must be willing to travel all over the US and Canada as needed.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Provides customer support by responding to requests for quotations with detailed analysis of product cost, schedule of delivered goods, tooling costing, and submittal of design and process improvements, when applicable, to meet all customer product needs.
· Works with engineering, sales, and production staff to understand standard component fabrication techniques, standard composite materials to use, and current demands of our customers to formulate quotations for our customers.
· Provides product technical engineering information by creating and giving presentations to customers on company equipment both via online meetings as well as in person at customers site.
· Consult and evaluate with potential customers to understand their needs; identify and suggest equipment, products, or services that will meet those needs.
· Performs troubleshooting and modifications to the equipment both in office and on-site with customers.
· Maintain accurate and precise CRM records using Zoho.
· Pursue leads that come in via the website and also marketing leads being obtained.
· Requires significant travel (approximately 50% or more) both for customer visits and trade show exhibits.
· Contributes to development of continuous improvement to customer needs and company growth.
· Build sample calibrations and troubleshooting with Near-Infrared technology.
· Create RMA records and repair equipment as needed for customers.
· Provides project implementation support.
· Ability to manage medium complex projects without assistance.
· Recommends design improvements.
Required Skills/Abilities:

· Quick ability to learn the technology and adapt to working with various customer applications
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
· Preferred- Bilingual in English and Spanish
· Preferred – background in Engineering
· Preferred – previous knowledge of Near-Infrared technology
Education and Experience:
· Sales – 3+ years
· Preferred – background in Engineering
· Preferred – previous knowledge of Near-Infrared technology
· Preferred - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or Related Field
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times.
· Prolonged standing and walking when on site with customers or at trade shows.
