Job Summary

As a Technical Specialist, you will support the terminal Airport Surveillance Radar Model 9 (ASR-9). You will need to be a motivated member of the team able to think outside of the box to troubleshoot problems and ready to collaborate with the team to solve them. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of technical systems and eager to learn and build on their existing knowledge and experience.

Responsibilities

Work under direct supervision in a team environment

Provides support in the Radar technologies and practices for the testing real time system composed of hardware, software, and firmware

Support the development of kits for modifications to be sent to the field

Assist in the design, development, and testing modern solutions to incorporate existing systems and equipment

Review and perform installation procedures for system modifications and verification

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required and three (3) year of related experience

OR

Associates degree in a related field and at least one (1) year of related experience

Technical Proficiencies

Required

Willing to travel on short notice for ASR-9 engineering support/installation

Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.) and hardware/software

Excellent communication skills

Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Preferred

Radar and test equipment knowledge
