Job Summary

As a Technical Specialist, you will be responsible for providing networking and software licensing and quotes/renewals for the Terminal Flight Data Manager (TFDM) program, reporting to the Software Development Lead.

Responsibilities

Provide technical experience to maintain and obtain licenses for new and existing hardware and software

Able to communicate efficiently with technical level management, vendors, system engineers, and non-technical people

Able to work well with in a team/group setting as well as independently

Organize, create, and maintain technical documentation on a monthly basis

Provide/obtain technical quotes.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required and six (6) years of related experience

OR

Associates degree (in a related field) and four (4) years of related work experience

OR

Bachelor’s degree (in a related field) with a minimum of two (2) years of related work experience

Technical Proficiencies

Required

Networking/IT concepts (routers, switches, cabling, rack hardware, etc.)

Excellent communication and presentation skills

Applicable functional areas include proficiency and knowledge of:

Networking/IT concepts (routers, switches, cabling, rack hardware, etc.)

Technical communication with Management, Vendors, and Systems Engineers

Technical writing/documentation using MS Office (Specifically Word and Excel) and Visio

Preferred

A+ Certification (or equivalent/higher)
