Position Description:
The Technical Support Specialist provides technical troubleshooting and problem resolution for the entire campus community by utilizing specialized technical knowledge, strong communication and customer service skills. This position provides support for computer hardware, software, audio/visual equipment as well as card service equipment, when needed. Candidates for this position should be able to provide both remote and in-person support to meet the diverse needs of our campus.

Education/Experience
Associate degree in Drafting or Engineering required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
Experience using AutoCAD required; experience using other Autodesk programs, including, but not limited to, Revit and Civil 3D preferred.
Experience with SolidWorks is desirable
Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in the production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawing, and models
Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications
Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services
Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of structures such as bridges and tunnels
Knowledge of the use of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) in conjunction with 3D solid modeling preferred
Knowledge of symbols and standards related to drafting machine components (clearances, tolerances, surface roughness, etc.)
