    Job Description

    Our team, supporting our Navy customer, has an immediate need for a Technical Writer with demonstrated experience creating and revising technical documentation.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Review and edit complex written and graphic technical materials, including system architecture designs, user manuals, standard operating procedures (SOPs), implementation plans, and troubleshooting guides, for an enterprise cloud IT environment
    • Work closely with cloud engineers, system architects, and stakeholders to gather technical information and ensure accuracy in documentation
    • Ensure documentation aligns with organizational and industry standards, including government compliance requirements where applicable
    • Review, edit, and improve existing documentation to ensure clarity, consistency, and quality
    • Develop a structured approach to organizing and presenting technical information to meet user needs
    • Identify opportunities for improving documentation processes and tools to increase efficiency and accuracy
    • Support program management team and daily operations
    • Attend meetings and record minutes

    Required Skills/Qualifications

    • At least 5 years of relevant experience creating technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and how-to guides, for IT-environments, preferably in cloud engineering
    • Exceptional ability to produce clear, concise, and well-organized documentation tailored to various audiences (technical and non-technical)
    • Proficient in documentation tools such as Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and Visio
    • Must possess active SECRET clearance
    • Must possess current IAT II or higher security certification in accordance with IAWF DoD 8570.01M
    • Experience working with Navy customers preferred
    • Ability to support 25% travel requirements.
