BVA Bears IT Solutions is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Technical Writer/Editor to support and enhance our IT solutions for government and contractor environments. This role will focus on ensuring that applications and systems meet accessibility requirements and deliver a high level of performance. The specialist will also travel to government or contractor sites as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

-Assists in collecting and organizing information for the preparation of user manuals, training materials, installation guides, proposals, and reports.

• Editing functional descriptions, system specifications, user manuals, special reports, or any other customer deliverables or document.

• Conducting research and ensuring the use of proper technical terminology.

• Translating technical information into clear, readable documents to be used by technical and non- technical personnel.

• Using the standard help compiler to prepare all on-line documentation (for applications built to run in a Windows environment).

• Assisting in performing financial and administrative functions.

Basic Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree in related field.
• 5+ years of experience in this area and must demonstrate the ability to work independently, or under only general direction.
• 2+ years of experience in preparing and editing documents, including technical documents
• Experience conducting research for applicable standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree
