  • Responsibilities

    SPIN Global is a Maryland-based public benefit corporation that exists to disrupt disasters from neighborhoods to nations. We are seeking qualified applicants to build a deployment-ready cadre, prepared to support response operations as opportunities arise. Applicants must possess a FEMA Entry on Duty (EOD).

    ‬‬‬ Responsibilities

    • Create review, and edit technical documents related to disaster fieldwork or specialized fields of expertise.
    • Exceptional communication and documentation skills to ensure the clarity and accuracy of complex information.
    • Collaborates with subject matter experts and project teams to develop comprehensive documentation and reports.

    Requirements

    • Education and Experience:
      • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study and at least 5 years of experience in disaster fieldwork or technical writing.
      • Graduate-level degree or professional registration with at least 2 years of experience in disaster fieldwork or technical writing is preferred.
      • Alternatively, 10 years of experience in disaster fieldwork or a related field of expertise.
    • Proficiency in desktop publishing, multimedia production, and online documentation tools.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to respond to changing guidance, priorities, and processes.
    • FEMA Training Preferred:
      • IS-1000: Public Assistance Program and Eligibility
      • IS-1001: The Public Assistance Delivery Model Orientation
      • IS-1002: FEMA Grants Portal - Transparency at Every Step
      • IS-1004: The FEMA Site Inspection Process
      • IS-1018: Determination Memorandums and Appeals
      • 7116: Program Delivery Manager
      • 7117: Site Inspection.
    • Work onsite in North Carolina.
    • EOD Required.
