    About Latham & Watkins

Latham & Watkins is a global law firm consistently ranked among the top firms in the world. The success of our firm is largely determined by our commitment to hire and develop the very best and brightest, creating a team that provides our clients with the highest quality of work and service. We are driven by our core values: respect, innovation, and collaboration.

    About the Role

We are seeking 2025 graduates, or those who graduated within the last two years, to join our two-year Business Services Training Program in our Global Services Office in downtown Los Angeles beginning in Summer 2025.

As a Technology Business Services Trainee, you'll play an integral role in our large, diverse, business-focused technology community. The department is instrumental in driving firmwide technology developments, providing support and consulting services to the firm's global business. You will get exposure to project assignment opportunities within a department that offers diverse career prospects in technical, legal, and professional fields.

Over the two years, you’ll gain valuable experience working with colleagues from around the world and develop skills that will serve you well in your future career. The first year focuses on building a foundation of experience and capability in fundamental technologies, while the second year, based on your preferences, abilities, and business need, is dedicated to a specific function within the technology group.

Throughout both years, you'll actively contribute to advancing our department’s business objectives, nurture robust technical, professional, and communication skills, and gain invaluable insights into how technology supports business goals. This ensures a well-rounded and enriching learning experience. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.

    Responsibilities & Qualifications

    Join our team if you:

    • Are enthusiastic about leveraging technology to creatively address human-centric business challenges
    • Are passionate about making technology accessible and engaging for everyone
    • Thrive on the prospect of meeting and collaborating with individuals from all corners of the globe

    Other key responsibilities include:

    • Collaborating with numerous technology teams — including, but not limited to, Global Technology Support, Infrastructure & Operations, Enterprise Applications, Information Governance, Financial Development & Data Integration, and Technology Training & Communications Services — as part of a rotational schedule
    • Utilizing software tools, such as Excel, OneNote, Asana, Microsoft Teams, and ServiceNow, to maintain department records and develop materials as required
    • Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains

We’d love to hear from you if you:

    • Display a bright, talented, naturally ambitious, and highly motivated attitude
    • Demonstrate a strong level of written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and a customer service orientation
    • Possess a strong interest, or extensive prior experience, in using technology to solve problems
    • Have a genuine desire to work in a supportive and enjoyable work environment

    And have:

    • Completed a Bachelor's degree by the start date of the program

    Benefits & Additional Information

Successful candidates will not only be provided with an outstanding career opportunity and welcoming environment, but will also be provided with a generous total compensation package with bonuses awarded in recognition of both individual and firm performance. Eligible employees can participate in Latham’s comprehensive benefit program which includes:
