  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    • Assist with mold setup and operation under the supervision of experienced engineers & technicians: This includes activities like preparing materials, setting up molds in machines, and monitoring injection parameters.
    • Learn and understand the principles of plastic injection molding processes: This involves gaining knowledge of material properties, machine operation, process parameters, and quality control procedures.
    • Gather and analyze data on molding processes: This could involve collecting data from dashboards and reports, performing basic analysis, and identifying potential areas for improvement.
    • Support with troubleshooting and problem-solving during production runs: This may involve assisting with identifying process issues, proposing solutions, and collaborating with technicians to optimize production efficiency.
    • Prepare and maintain basic molding documentation: This includes recording process data, logging observations, and updating machine setup sheets.
    • Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols as outlined by the company: This includes following proper personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines, practicing safe work habits, and reporting any safety concerns.
    • Demonstrate a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Qualifications

    Position Requirements:

    • Student working towards a bachelor’s degree in Engineering and preferably focused on mechanical engineering or other related Engineering field
    • Candidates preferred to have completed their second year of engineering studies and entering Junior or Senior year
    • High problem-solving skills and self-direction
    • Ability to work in a team or individual contributor

    Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

    • Familiarity with manufacturing and/or plastic injection molding
    • Mechanical aptitude for machines and tools
    • Technical hands-on experience with Microsoft Office products

    POSITION RANGE: $20.00- $24.00 USD Hourly (This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.)
