    POSITION SUMMARY

    Responsible for managing, planning, coordinating, and implementing planning and procurement processes. Manage supply chain from suppliers and internal manufacturing to the customer while meeting lead time, cost, customer satisfaction and inventory metrics. Responsible for continually evaluating planning and purchasing requirements to ensure accuracy and integrity in meeting established company standards.

    PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITES

    • Verifies and executes purchase requisitions within required lead times to ensure that quantity, cost, inventory, and delivery timetables are accurate and meet company objectives.
    • Establishes and utilizes process for confirming supplier order acknowledgement and follow-up to confirm supplier delivery schedule.
    • Executes Tecomet’s purchase control process to ensure compliance with FDA regulations and customer specifications.
    • Plans supplier related work orders to be released and processed while monitoring capacity availability at suppliers.
    • Analyzes requirements to ensure accuracy and integrity; determines future needs; decides min/max and economic order quantity.
    • Analyzes, evaluates, and controls inventory of finished goods and purchased parts.
    • Reviews assigned commodity and suppliers for opportunities to develop or rationalize supplier list.
    • Expedites goods and/or services throughout the supply chain process.
    • Creates shop orders to procure products required by customer purchase orders.
    • Interacts with Quality Control, Engineering, Production, and Finance, and all other staff as needed.
    • Resolves problems with delivery, supply, invoicing, quality, etc.
    • Maintains the necessary purchasing files and documents.
    • Performs all duties within defined company’s business objectives.
    • Performs other related duties and responsibilities as required or assigned.

    REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

    • Working knowledge of Supply Chain practices and principles.
    • Ability to work independently and exercise judgment and initiative in dealing with a variety of duties and responsibilities.
    • Understands basic inspection methods.
    • Possesses knowledge of manufacturing products, processes, and techniques.
    • Effective verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Knowledge of business math.
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.
    • Minimum of two years’ experience in Supply Chain and/or Purchasing
