Job Title: Telecom Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and coordinate electrical engineering and multi-disciplined team/design projects while engaged in the planning, design and construction phases of engineering projects through project startup.
- Execute tasks associated with the preparation, modification, and review of all types of communication system design/construction drawings, including microwave, telephone data, system control and data acquisition (SCADA), mobile radio, fire alarm, microwave radio, security and video.
- Properly interpret and apply National, State, and Local codes and standards, and customer design requirements for the preparation of electrical design/construction documents, specifications, and system descriptions related to assigned tasks.
- Prepare studies, analyses, and reports as required.
- Prepare engineering cost and schedules estimates.
- Generate and review the accuracy of design/evaluation calculations, and specifications.
- Familiarity with computer aided drafting applications is required.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or similar accredited engineering B.S. with a minimum of ten (10) or more years' experience (nuclear preferred) in design, estimating, specification preparation, construction document preparation, and related phases of engineering
- Must have communications engineering design.
- Working knowledge of Federal (including DOE Orders), State, and Local codes and standards applicable
