Requirements
Minimum 2 years' experience, first time travelers accepted
Prior experience with IV Start and Telemetry
Active ACLS, BCLS and NIH
Must pass EKG Testing prior to start
Job Details
13-week contract
12-hour nights, 36 hours per week, 4 weekend shifts per 6 weeks
Ratios: 1:5-6
Floating required as needed to similar units

Pre/Post Cath
Pre/Post PPM & AICD
Watchmen Procedures
Stress Tests
Management of Arterial & Venous sheaths
TIA population
Carotid Stent Patient Management
Card-Tele, Management of Arrhythmias,
Management of cardiac drips: Cardizem, Amiodarone, Renal Dose Dopamine, Lasix Drips, and non-titrating Nitro Drips for stable CP, NSTEMI patients
Unit Details
CPPU is a 24 bed inpatient cardiac procedural unit housing cardiac telemetry along with pre and post cardiac procedural patients
Average length of stay is 1.8-2.4 days in length
There is rapid patient turnover on the unit daily.
There is an ADT (Admission, Discharge, Transfer) nurse available on the unit Monday-Friday during peak patient transition times.
Scheduling
Any absences have to be made up at the end of the contract and cannot be made up as an OT day
If nurse calls out on a weekend shift, they will have to automatically make another weekend shift up at the manager’s discretion per the 2020 policy
