Job Summary
The position of Teller (Member Service Representative) is responsible for providing an exceptional member experience while accurately processing transactions, opening accounts, providing product and service recommendations, etc. Use a sales-through-service attitude to demonstrate product knowledge and identify and meet the needs of our individual members. You are responsible for being an excellent steward of our members’ finances.
What You'll Do
Assist members with front-line financial transactions including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, transfers, cashier checks etc. Communicate with members via phone, email, face to face, or any other means approved by NorthRidge to handle these transactions including electronic service assistance.
Open all accounts, certificates of deposit, and other products or services in accordance with federal regulations, ensuring all related forms and documents are completed and filed/scanned in a timely manner.
Recommend the appropriate products to members based on their needs. Actively cross-sell products and services to members during each interaction, when appropriate.
Maintain accurate member account information on computer system such as address, phone, email, etc.
Remain in compliance with regulations and follows all BSA policy and procedures including the completion of annual BSA training.
Works on special projects and prepares required reports for management when needed.
Perform a variety of miscellaneous tasks including filing, copying, data input.
Accurately balance cash drawer and vault daily. Accurately balance ATM when needed.
Ability to work in a stationary position for 95% of the workday.
Moving, lifting and/or carrying 50 pounds with or without accommodation.
Qualifications
A high school diploma or GED
Up to six months of similar or related experience
Experience in working and serving the public is a plus!
Interpersonal communication skills
Working knowledge of computer systems and applications such as Microsoft Office and Teams.
