With a mission to enrich and inspire our community through exceptional live performances, Celebrity Series has become a mainstay of Boston's cultural life by bringing a widening spectrum of performers to Boston's major concert halls. Celebrity Series presents over 70 subscription series performances in 10 different venues, and over 150 community engagement activities annually. Celebrity Series' audiences experience the world's great orchestras, chamber ensembles and soloists, and leading artists in contemporary dance, jazz, global, and folk music, and spoken word. Alongside the subscription series performances, Celebrity Series' Arts for All! community engagement programs introduce the joy of live performance and connect with a dynamic network of hundreds of community collaborators, reaching thousands of individuals annually.
Position: Temporary Concert Producer
Department: Performance Operations
Immediate Supervisor: Chief Operating Officer
Supervises: project-specific personnel (independent contractors)
FSLA: Non-exempt, part-time, approx. 15-20 hrs/week, $30-40/hr
Duration: Approx. mid-December 2024 until mid-May 2025
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Concert Producer is a temporary role covering a short-term leave in the Performance Operations department. The Producer will manage concert-related details for a defined portfolio of about 10 subscription series concerts at various venues across Boston and Cambridge. The Producer is a primary contact for the organization with venue staff, artists and their representation, and vendors. The Producer will create a performance experience for audiences and artists on behalf of Celebrity Series consistent with organizational values and goals.
At least 1 day/week of in-office attendance is expected, ideally Wednesdays with the full team.
Concert portfolio and at-venue availability to be discussed in first round interviews.

The Celebrity Series offices are located at 20 Park Plaza, Suite 220 in Boston's Back Bay. The building is convenient to public transportation and fully accessible. Office hours are Monday - Friday, 9am to 5pm. Work is often required off-site, yet within the Greater Boston area. This position allows for a limited opportunity for remote work.
