    Repair the World mobilizes Jews and their communities to take action to pursue a just world. We believe that service in support of social change is vital to a flourishing Jewish community and an inspired Jewish life. By 2030, Repair will inspire and catalyze one million acts of service towards repairing the world.

    Repair is building a national Jewish service movement of flourishing Jewish communities that serve in pursuit of a just world. Repair mobilizes young adults to serve in their communities, catalyzes service through deep partnerships within Jewish communal organizations, and inspires people to take action through time-bound thematic national service campaigns. Our mission provides volunteers with an increased connection to meaningful service and learning as a Jewish value, builds capacity for nonprofit partners to meet their missions, and deepens connections across lines of difference.

    Position Overview

    The Field Activation Coordinator is essential in mobilizing Jewish adults to lead, learn, and inspire as Service Ambassadors. This role oversees a dynamic Service Ambassador program designed to empower Jewish adults to launch impactful service projects and strengthen Jewish community bonds. With an emphasis on peer-to-peer engagement, leadership development, and fostering deeper connections to Jewish life, the coordinator will guide over 300 participants in creating meaningful service experiences. By providing resources and making connections, this role ensures Service Ambassadors are equipped to deliver high-quality programs that have an impact. This position reports to the Senior Director, Field Activation, and is remote.

    This is a part-time non-exempt position. The Field Activation Coordinator will report to the Senior Director, Field Activation. This temporary grant-funded role is expected to end on or around April 30, 2026.

    Position Responsibilities:

    • Support and implement a comprehensive alumni engagement plan that includes marketing, communications, recruitment, training, and ongoing evaluation.
    • Enhance the Ambassador engagement strategy for Repair by developing relationships with alumni and interested participants to onboard them as ambassadors.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Ambassador Program Implementation: Manage the application and onboarding process for 300 service ambassadors who lead bi-monthly service programs.
    • Ambassador Recruitment: Actively recruit diverse candidates by leveraging personal networks and inspiring them about their impact on the Jewish service movement. Build a strong community dedicated to enhancing Jewish service initiatives.
    • Ambassador program management: Monitor the ambassador application pipeline to ensure all ambassadors complete expectations.
    • Jewish Learning & Facilitation: Organize sessions for ambassadors to attend to deepen their understanding of Jewish teachings on social responsibility.
    • Program Evaluation: Monitor program impact through surveys and participation tracking to ensure alignment with JSA's mission.
    • Field Activation Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to the Field Activation team for programs such as microgrants for activations, JSA program administration, support for service in Israel programming, and other necessary administrative tasks.

    Position Requirements

    • 1+ years experience in alumni management, volunteer recruitment, or peer engagement; demonstrated success with building relationships and leading young adults and people with diverse backgrounds and experiences, including coaching, addressing conflict, and leveraging strengths to achieve goals. Experience launching and managing new initiatives is a plus.
    • Skilled in networking and building relationships with the intent of creating a pipeline of Jewish young adults, excited to serve in our programs.
    • Positive can-do attitude and excitement towards leading a new initiative as a part of a rapidly growing team.
    • Embodying and actively supporting Repair's Organizational Values in all work.

    Compensation

    Compensation at Repair the World is based on the salary band for the role and cost of living for the location where the final candidate resides. The hourly wage for this role is $25 - $31 per hour for 32 hours (4 days) per week. Annualized salary between $41,600 and $52,000 depending on location. This temporary grant-funded role is expected to end on or around April 30, 2026.

    Benefits package includes paid time off for service in addition to vacation, sick time, personal days and holidays. Employer covers 100% of full-time employee's health premiums (medical/dental/vision) for most plans and 50% for dependents. Additional benefits include, retirement matching, professional development funds, employer-paid short and long term disability coverage plus access to the Jewish Learning Collaborative and our Economic Access Fund. In addition, employees that have been with Repair for at least six months are eligible for 16 weeks of paid parental leave (pro-rated for employees with Repair less than 6 months).

    This position is not included in Repair's staff union-represented collective bargaining unit.

    Application process

    The process for the hired applicant will include the following steps:

    • Submission of Resume and cover letter.
    • Applicants moved forward will have a first-round screening with a member of Repair's Operations team.
    • Applicants who are moved to the second and final round will have a final interview with the Senior Director of Field Activation Strategy and Senior Director of Field Activation. If necessary, additional interviews will be scheduled.
    • All finalists will need to provide 2 professional references.
