  • Responsibilities
    1. Manage individual new product development projects and coordinate activities with customers, plant (include local and global), within the department and cross- functionally to meet milestone dates.
    2. Generate new ideas regarding engineering improvements, new applications and inventions, support and recognize patentable concepts/designs
    3. Perform and lead product development in CAE, testing, instrumentation data acquisition, generating design of experiments, analyze and generate reports with recommendations and conclusions.
    4. Perform system integration analysis to achieve optimal system design in terms of function and cost.
    5. Manage the APQP, lessons learned, DFMEA, and theirs links to DVP&R
    6. Support modifications to existing tests, procedures, standards and specifications, and provide technical assistance for prototype and pre-production development of new designs
    7. Prepare and present technical data for customer communications, ensure program conformance to TA and Customer Design Standards

    Required Skills

    1. Min 5-7 years’ experience in automobile industry, at least two years’ experience in exhaust system technical or projects work.
    2. Preferably automotive engineering with emphasis on diesel commercial vehicle.
    3. Experience in exhaust system or Chassis work as a technical or projects work.
    4. Must have the ability to generate engineering analysis programs, perform spreadsheet calculations, utilize program management, graphics and word processing software.
    5. Demonstrated DVP&R and/or exhaust reliability experience.
    6. Emission after treatment knowledge, Exhaust manufacturing experience and knowledge of lean enterprising principles a plus.
    7. Ability to travel to suppliers, plants, and customer locations to support development requirements.
    8. Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
    9. Know CAE / FEA / Durability tests and why / when these tools are needed and effective.
    10. Ability to operate at least one 3D modeling software, like CATIA, UG. IDEAS, etc.
