Job Summary
We are seeking an outgoing and energetic Coach to join our team! The Princeton Tennis Program (PTP) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, and our mission is to serve and connect the community of central New Jersey to the sport of tennis. You will lead age-appropriate practices and drills at our indoor and outdoor facilities as a youth coach. Strong on-court tennis skills are required as well as the ability to communicate and teach tennis to all ages and levels effectively
Responsibilities
Follow age-appropriate techniques, skill development, and drills.
Lead structured classes and clinics.
Provide positive feedback, guidance, and encouragement.
Communicate with parents/guardians.
Able to work nights and weekends
Qualifications
Candidates should have experience teaching ages 10 and under using Red ball, Orange ball, Green ball.
Experience with youth progression to ensure that kids 10 and under are placed in the appropriate class or event based on skill level.
Positive on-court attitude and ability to follow directions and guidelines
Comfortable with speaking to and educating parents on students’ progression.
Positive, motivating, and effective interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to work outdoors after school and summer camp, without restrictions to weather conditions.
Must be USTA safe play approved as well as certified by USPTA and/or PTR organizations.
Ability to be a team member and work at a non-profit where the mission is to serve the tennis community.
