Tesoro Group is seeking an experienced Roving Maintenance Technician for one of our long-term client’s team at (2) Properties in Bloomington and Lakeville. The ideal candidate will have general maintenance knowledge, be self-motivated, be able to organize multiple tasks throughout the day and is self-sufficient. No special certifications or licenses required for this role. This role will report to a maintenance supervisor. This role is contract to hire (30-90 days before conversion).

This role will be working with (2) properties – Site 1: built in 2002, 47 income restricted units and 3 stories and Site 2: built in 1995, 52 income restricted units and 2 stories

Salary: $26-$30/hour while on contract (30-90 days before conversion). Mileage re-imbursement for driving between the properties.

Schedule: Monday – Friday 830am – 5pm – must be available for apartment turns and emergency response/on-call.

Emergency Response Schedule: Every 4 weeks, you will be required to work on-call rotation and further information will be provided upon conversion.

Responsibilities and Job Duties:

• Provide a variety of skilled building maintenance including repairs to sinks, windows, floors, and other parts of the building.
• Maintains the grounds as assigned which may include trash pick-up, shoveling, and sweeping curb/dumpster area, maintaining landscape beds and other areas.
• Preparation of vacant units for occupancy which may include cleaning responsibilities.
• Install, repair (including soldering) and maintain various plumbing; heating and air conditioning fixtures; perform metal fabrication and welding.
• Installation and repair of major and minor appliances (e.g. washer, dryer, refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwashers, etc.).
• Troubleshoot maintenance issues, diagnose problems, replace and/or repair parts, test and make necessary adjustments to ensure issues are resolved.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs as needed.
• Complete minor work orders such as snake toilets/drains, repair/replace leaking faucets, remove/replace caulking, replace different components of toilets, adjust/replace door closures, and replace locks, deadbolts, and passage locks.
• Always demonstrate courteous and efficient customer service.

Qualifications and Experience:

• 2 years’ experience in residential maintenance.
• Be able to pass a Kari Koskinen background check.
• Have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation as this role will be roving between 2 properties.
