Role : Test Engineering / Electro-Mechanical Technician

Reporting to : Lee Gilmore, General Manager

Duties & Responsibilities: The role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:

• Support technician team in technical aspects of product failure diagnosis, subcomponent parts/assemblies debug and rework, custom test equipment builds and equipment maintenance
• Escalation path for identifying root cause of product and test process issues during production
• Define test equipment maintenance program and ensure execution
• Create test work instructions for production
• Analyze test data to identify areas of improvement in product and process and prepare reports on these results
• Review and approve Engineering Change Notices
• Train the technician and production team members on test processes
• Collaborate with field service, RMA and design in investigating and resolving product or test process issues
• Participate in the Materials Review Board for part disposition and rework process
• Collaborate with design team on test equipment requirements, procurement and custom builds
• Collaborate with design team on test plan and test process improvements
• Participate in New Product Introduction process to launch new new test processes or implement new products in existing test processes
• Support outsourcing of subassemblies to vendors

Required Skills and Competencies :

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multitask and handle several competing responsibilities simultaneously
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with attention to detail
• Experience with testing and debug of printed circuit boards and low and high voltage systems
• Experience with electrical safety tests, firmware programming, and power systems testing
