Essencial Duties and Responsabilities
- Perform mid-level proficiency testing and troubleshooting of electronics.
- Program and debug printed circuit board assemblies (PCBA).
- Assemble and set up equipment for functional testing and debugging of printed circuit assemblies.
- Conduct functional checks and assist in installing electronic assemblies and circuits, including communication circuits for electronic systems, fixtures, and accessories.
- Record production test data and maintain acceptable levels of production according to established standards.
- Troubleshoot and repair assemblies or circuit boards of electronic systems, electro-mechanical equipment, and computer-controlled systems using bills of materials, schematics, component specifications, or other means.
- Monitor control systems and support electro-mechanical assembly.
- Operate meters, power supplies, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, RF power meters, and other test equipment as needed.
- Operate support equipment necessary for performance and functional testing.
- Perform mechanical operations necessary for the installation, troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, dismantling, and disassembly of related systems.
- Refer to process documentation (test instructions, drawings, schematics, travelers, BOMs, and specifications) to perform tasks.
- Demonstrate commitment to quality and total customer satisfaction by striving to achieve zero defect status.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Thorough understanding of electrical/electronic technology.
- Ability to read and understand engineering documentation (blueprints, wire schematics, drawings, component specifications, and ECNs).
- Proficiency in setting up and using electronic test equipment.
- Strong verbal and written English language skills, including witness testing.
- Strong computer skills, including the use of Excel, Word, HyperTerminal, and other programs.
- High degree of problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SAP.
Education & Experience
- Associate degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in testing and troubleshooting electronics.
- 2+ years of experience in a test lab and/or manufacturing environment preferred.
