Texas Military Department JOB ALERT!

The Texas Army National Guard is seeking DoD civilian to fill Title 5 GS11 Health Systems Specialist position. Resumes will be received on a rolling basis until each position is filled - current hiring authority allows on-boarding to begin 15 June 2022.

Health Systems Specialist will manage all non-clinical aspects of Texas Army National Guard Behaviora Health Program, to include distribution of program referrals, scheduling, case tracking, quality assurance, data analysis, and logistics.

Social Workers within program will support Soldiers presenting to behavioral health through clinical assessment, treatment planning, and coordination of care. Additional duties include crisis response, 24/7 on-call rotation, behavioral health briefings and education, support for military training, deployment mobilizations, and events (IDT/SRP/FMR), traumatic event management, and formal recommendations for fitness for duty/medical separation process. Social Workers will build and maintain professional relationships with Command Teams, military and civilian providers, contracted behavioral health team, ASAP, SHARP, TMD Counseling, and the regional community. Federal Pay Scale based on locality (Austin, San Antonio, Grand Prairie, Houston, Weslaco, El Paso, Temple).

Qualifications: Social Worker must have at least three years of direct practice post-LCSW (and have an active license in good standing). Experience with crisis response, suicide prevention, and military settings preferred.

Health Systems Specialist must have Bachelor’s Degree. Military work, education, and training experience will be considered in lieu of college degree. Experience with data analysis, medical operations, human resources, and knowledge of behavioral health systems preferred. Telework is not currently authorized by the Texas Military Department.

Current Salary Range (based on incoming step/locality): $79,363 - $118,946

Health Systems Specialist Grade/Series/PD#: GS-0671-11 NGT5608000

Current Salary Range (based on incoming step/Austin): $67,696 - $88,000
