The Beringer Law firm has an immediate opening for a paralegal position. We offer a great workplace environment where we all truly enjoy working with one another. Experience in Family Law is preferred, but not required. The attorneys in our office each handle a considerable amount of litigation and rely on their support staff. We work collaboratively and closely with one another. We hope to find a self-motivated individual who works well as part of a team. This is an in-office position.
Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:
· Assist with drafting pleadings
· Drafting preliminary and final disclosures
· Litigation support, including the creation of hearing binder and trial binders
· Trial Preparation: Organizing and preparing exhibits, witnesses
· Assist with discovery drafting, discovery responses, subpoenas
· Manage calendaring of deadlines and important dates
· Direct communication with clients
· Tracking and billing time
· Mediation Support: Preparing briefs, working with clients and lawyers
· This is an in-person position and we are not currently offering remote positions
Qualifications
The basic qualifications include:
· Paralegal Certificate
· High school diploma or equivalency (associates or bachelors a plus)
· Family Law experience preferred
· Excellent skills with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
· Experience with Judicial Council Forms
· Experience with CFLR Programs (DissoMaster, Executioner, Propertizer)
· Experience with West Law Form Builder
· Attention to detail
· Great communication skills and writing skills
