As a personal injury firm, we specialize in many areas including vehicular, bicycle, and boating accidents; property and hurricane damage; workers compensation, slip and falls and medical injuries; dog bites; and wrongful deaths. This position is primarily responsible for the management of all aspects of personal injury cases from inception through close of case.
- We are looking for Entry-Level Attorneys who have already passed the Ohio State Bar Exam.
- No additional experience is required.
- All candidates must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Exercise a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism
- Medical case review.
- Negotiating and settling cases in the pre-litigation stage.
- Review policies, claims and other records.
- Prepare, write, and argue legal documents, including but not limited to memos, theory of liability and demands.
- Communicate with insurance companies and make sure client medical treatment is managed and billed accordingly.
- Communicate with client to provide case status update.
- Conduct intake meetings with new clients.
- Manage docket of cases according to office policy.
- Conduct and attend IME's, EUO's and recorded statements.
REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Must be a current Ohio State Bar Member in good standing.
- Must be a current Ohio State Bar Member in good standing.
- 0 + years of experience in plaintiff’s personal injury.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- A basic understanding of personal injury law.
- Strong negotiation, communication and writing skills.
- Intermediate to advanced-level computer and general office skills; strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively communicate through both verbal and written electronic correspondence
- Demonstrate an ability to analyze corrective action opportunities and present recommendations
- Analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently
