What We Are Looking For:
We seek a highly skilled Google Cloud Migration Specialist to join our dynamic team remotely in the US to support our client in London. As a Google Cloud Migration Specialist, you will design, implement, and oversee private, public, and hybrid cloud computing solutions. You will use your expertise to migrate clients from on-premise infrastructure to Google Cloud Platform while providing technical leadership and support to the team.
What You'll Do:
- Design and implement solutions for clients considering the on-premise infrastructure and Google Cloud Platform.
- Migrate and integrate on-premise infrastructure with Google Cloud Platform.
- Develop, test, and maintain scripts to automate tasks and deployment workflows.
- Customize solutions where needed to meet a customer’s specific needs and challenges.
- Share knowledge and expertise with the team to continuously improve the quality of work.
What You Have:
- In-depth knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) offerings, services, and APIs, particularly its VM migration and management services.
- Expertise in managing and troubleshooting Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems and VMs, including migrating these to GCP.
- Understanding of various cloud migration strategies, ability to select the most suitable one for specific circumstances, and proficiency in managing and maintaining cloud environments for optimal performance.
- Proficiency in automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Ansible, Terraform, or Google Cloud Deployment Manager, including performance tuning, optimization, and cost-efficiency strategies for VMs in the Google Cloud environment.
- Deep understanding of Kubernetes on Google Cloud, including designing and deploying Kubernetes-based applications, designing and deploying Kubernetes clusters, creating Kubernetes manifests, and interacting with Kubernetes APIs.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing cloud solutions that satisfy customers' requirements.
- Deep understanding of backup and disaster recovery solutions in the cloud environment.
- Extensive programming experience, particularly in Python or Java, and a solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and additional programming languages.
- Knowledge of system administration, troubleshooting techniques, and experience managing and maintaining servers, networks, and storage systems, both on-premise and in the cloud.
- Skills in performance tuning, optimization, and cost-efficiency strategies for cloud-based VMs, along with an understanding how to achieve optimal cloud performance.
