JOB DESCRIPTION:
- As a member of MuleSoft Global Strategic Events team, the Events Manager will play a critical role in the planning, execution, and follow-through of innovative, engaging events globally that inform and empower our diverse partner ecosystem as well as those that our partners can leverage to drive demand and pipeline.
- This position requires exceptional collaboration skills and a strong background creating dynamic, original, and engaging in-person and virtual events.
- An ideal candidate will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, outstanding attention to detail, proven talent in managing high-visibility events, unshakable nerves, and an unrestrained desire to master and contribute to the best practices of delivering world-class events—to, with, and through partners.
Key responsibilities
- Develop a strong understanding of the MuleSoft brand and partner positioning to ensure consistent, on-brand events.
- Lead the full scope of planning, production, and execution for MuleSoft portfolio of in-person and virtual partner-facing events to meet global partner organization goals—from small high-touch C-level events to larger events with over 1,000 attendees.
- Drive quality execution of global with-partner events to create packaged event offerings for our partners to leverage as a demand generation engine to extend their reach and generate pipeline.
- Lead, influence, and work across organizational boundaries, including a broad range of peers and executives. Provide status updates for a variety of audiences—including executive stakeholders, management, and peers.
- Support partner leadership and speakers with identifying key messages and event/session takeaways. Ensure continuity and consistency of messaging across sessions/speakers for each event.
- Manage project plans, drive complex timelines, and ensure workstreams are briefed and aware of deadlines and deliverables.
- Create best practices, operational processes, and playbooks for with-, through-, and to-partner events; continuously iterate and create repeatable programs to scale.
- Deliver consistent pre-planning presentations, post-event surveys, and report back summary of results to key stakeholders utilizing feedback to continually improve the partner experience.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous experience planning complex innovative in-person events and virtual B2B events.
- Understanding of Partner Ecosystems comprising various business models.
- Project and Time Management
- Experience building and presenting slide decks
- Google Suite In-depth experience
