    We currently have an opportunity for a full-time DETROIT PROGRAMS AND FIELD TRIPS COORDINATOR on our dynamic Learning & Engagement team. In this role, you will primarily support the planning and implementation of field trip learning programs and summer camp opportunities to impact Detroit-based students.     ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Supports the Manager, Youth and Family Learning Engagement in implementing the tactical activation of the Youth and Family Learning Engagement strategy. This includes participation in the development of innovative education experiences for PreK through 12th grade students for onsite, offsite, and online programs.

    • Acts as the team's point lead for coordinating and implementing the DPSCD Cultural Passport Field Trips and is responsible for continuing to foster the relationship between The Henry Ford and the DPSCD Cultural Passport Team.

    • Collaborates with the Youth and Family Engagement team to update learning resources provided to Detroit-based school districts and educators participating in field trip programs. Works with internal and external stakeholders to ensure participating educators have access to all resources.

    • Responsible for creating, disseminating, and implementing field trip program schedules that account for the needs of various internal and external stakeholders.

    • Supports the work of the broader Youth and Family Learning Engagement team by providing onsite program support for various programs. Including, but not limited to THF Summer Camps, Tinkering for Tots, and Cultural Passport Field Trips.

    • Supports the Manager, Youth and Family Learning Engagement in improving access to camp, by coordinating THF Summer Camp scholarships.

    • Supports the Manager, Youth and Family Learning Engagement in developing partner relationships with Detroit Schools and connect them to other educational programming at THF

    • Tracks, maintains, and shares data through the creation of reports and presentations that communicates the impact of field trip and camp programs on Detroit-based youth and families.

    • Follows The Henry Ford and the Learning & Engagement team guidelines in conducting programs and projects including communication with participants, applications, awards, contracts, and reporting.

    • Supports in developing and updating various participant information databases and applications so that correspondence, reports, and other necessary documents are prepared professionally, efficiently, and accurately with a high level of fit and finish.

    • Shares responsibility for housekeeping tasks related to the storage and office areas.

    • Conducts a thorough analysis of the assigned tasks ensuring that all the criteria, protocols, requirements of projects are thoroughly understood, conveyed clearly, and adhered to for successful implementation. In this respect, makes themselves educated on project expectations and deliverables.

    • Creates and communicates work plans as needed through regular updates and reports.

    • Contributes to the effective team management of all problems, issues, and opportunities. Acts as a team player and provides expertise within the team and other teams as appropriate.

    • Performs other duties, as necessary.

    YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

    • HS Diploma or GED, some college preferred

    • Proficient with Microsoft Office

    SPECIAL SKILLS

    • Good organizational, communication and follow-up skills a must.

    • Must be a multi-tasker who can keep up with a fast-paced work environment.

    • A self-starter with ability to work with little or no supervision but must be willing to ask for assistance.

    • Positive attitude & excellent customer service skills
