Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Education Director to lead our childcare facility. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in an early childhood classroom as well as at least two years experience in a supervisory role, a strong ability to foster healthy relationships with families and staff, and a commitment to promoting high-quality early childhood education.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the development and implementation of educational programs/curriculum,
build and maintain positive relationships with families, children, and staff,
ensure compliance with state regulations and licensing requirements,
conduct staff training and professional development,
monitor and assess student progress and program effectiveness,
and collaborate with families to support children's development.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education (Master's preferred),
Early Childhood (B-2) certification,
minimum of two years of experience in a childcare facility,
strong interpersonal and communication skills,
and the ability to lead and inspire a team.
Additional Requirements:
Willingness to undergo a background check and fingerprinting,
complete necessary trainings such as mandated reporter,
comprehensive knowledge of Department of Health and Mental Hygiene Article 47 regulations,
ability to work at least 40 hours per week,
computer literacy.

Daily responsibilities for Center Directors:
PEOPLE LEADERSHIP
Identifies, schedules and interviews teacher candidates; Builds networks of external future talent
Conducts classroom observations, evaluations and provides feedback that motivates and encourages learning.
Manages team to ensure curriculum is executed in alignment with brand standards;
Uses a growth mindset to train, coach and develop for the future
Listens objectively to employee concerns and plans a recommended course of action
Builds and communicates weekly schedules
Daily management of classroom ratios
Manages new hire paperwork and all employee files in compliance with state licensing regulations
Builds and communicates center schedules to ensure appropriate ratios are always intact and labor is effectively managed to budget.
CUSTOMER FOCUS
Leads tour with prospective families, highlighting key features/points of difference with our curriculum, teacher tenure/quality, etc.
Regularly communicates with families regarding student progress
Executes “parent pleasers”
Execution of our Show and Tell
Regularly audits and maintains all records and files for students and teachers
Ensures the physical environment and health/safety standards are full compliance with local and state licensing regulations
Manages relationships with state licensors and conducts center evaluations
Responsible for accident/incident reporting
Medication management
Conducts monthly emergency safety drills
Manages new customer administration and files in compliance with state licensing regulations
