    Job Description

    The MMC Agency is recruiting for lead designer candidates. This role is a key position for our team and manages the following primary duties (among others):

    1. Leads the creative and design process for projects that include branding and logo development, website design, and marketing materials.

    2. Creates brand strategies/brand guides that set the tone for the project (and bring it to life visually for the client). Think mood boards, typography, color palettes, inspiration sites, etc., that we combine into a beautiful strategy deck!

    3. Develop, design, and launch client websites. We create primarily on WordPress and Squarespace, so extensive experience on these two platforms is required. Experience on Shopify and Showit preferred.

    4. Participate as an active team member – we’re a small, close-knit team, so interpersonal skills are just as important as your awesome design abilities!

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Understanding of and 5+ years experience executing high-level designs and demonstrating attention to detail.
    • Extensive experience with WordPress (Elementor), Squarespace and design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign/Photoshop). We also use some Canva for client templates.
    • Experience creating wireframes.
    • Ability to draft light copy for brand guides and/or website layouts.
    • Can-do, positive attitude, and desire to be a part of a fun team that is growing. Some client interactions are required from time to time.
    • Must provide portfolio and/or portfolio pieces to be considered.

    ADDITIONAL DETAILS:

    • We are based in downtown Orlando, FL, and looking for a team member that can visit the office 1-2 times per week.
    • This position is contract based with consistent guaranteed hours (final number TBD but estimating 15-20 hours per week).
    • Hourly rate based on experience.
