Assistant Director of Sales and Event Management
The Manor House at Prophecy Creek by Robert Fair Caterers is a wedding venue just outside of Blue Bell, Pa. We’re looking for an Assistant Director of Sales and Event Management to join our team! Under the direct supervision of the Director of Sales, you will work closely in all aspects of the wedding and event sales process into and including running events as scheduled. This job offers a flexible on-site work schedule. We believe in a friendly family oriented, and team-first working environment.

Daily Tasks
Providing Assistance to Director of Sales, General Manager, and Owner of the company.
Answering calls/e-mails in a timely manner.
Responding to leads in a timely manner.
Arranging client and vendor site appointments
Assist with client tours (planning & final meeting, where applicable)
Processing/filing paperwork
Assembling menu packets
General administrative work
Assist in general cleaning of the house in-between client tours as needed when cleaning team is not scheduled.
Opportunities for extra duties to fill winter hours are available to discuss such as and not limited to upkeep of facility when help is needed by facilities.
Schedule event staff (to occur after a few weeks of employment)
Day of event coordinator and event manager
Required Skills
2-3 Years of catering and sales experience.
Passion and experience working in the wedding, event and hospitality industry.
Ability to work in a support role
Self-motivated
Reliable
Organized
Charismatic
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
Marketing/social media experience is required
Willingness and flexibility to work events as an event manager. You will need to work nights and weekends.
Valid Driver’s License Required
Strong ability to show leadership and job expectations to event staff and others by example in a professional manner.
Ability to work in a family business atmosphere
Ability to be on-time daily
Schedule
Approximately 30-to-55-hour work week (depending on event load and time of season. January to March are slower months where you’ll work around 30 hours per week in planning and sales, whereas April to November is more active.
Weekdays, nights and weekends are required for tours/appointments
2 days off, per week, approved by management

Benefits
14 days Personal Time Off / Sick and Safe time awarded at time of hiring. This is forfeited entirely upon departure from the company.
