Job Description
The Marina at Highland Lake is growing, and we are currently looking for a Marina Office Assistant to join our team! The ideal candidate will be a dependable, hard-working professional who has excellent customer service skills and can multi-task.
THIS IS A SEASONAL POSITION WITH PART-TIME HOURS IN THE SPRING AND FALL, AND FULL-TIME HOURS IN THE SUMMER MONTHS.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Must have a neat, clean, professional appearance with a positive attitude
- Main duty is taking care of our customers, as pertains to store sales/payment processing, billing, answering phone calls and emails, rental reservations, service requests, inquiries, and walk-ins
- Opening and closing the Store, including balancing the cash drawer
- Boat/Watercraft Rentals- Check-in and check-out process, preparing, cleaning boats, and other watercrafts, and rental gear
- Computer work- maintaining customer spreadsheets, service/storage and ShoreMaster request forms, invoicing and billing, scanning, filling, and printing of forms
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of store and office
- Maintaining store inventory and supplies, reordering as needed
- Prioritizing workflow while working closely with and directing other staff members
- Assisting other staff with fueling, dock and building cleaning as needed
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Prior customer service experience/retail
- Good organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, computer use, and office equipment
- Knowledge of Quickbooks or other accounting software preferred
- Competence in use of cash register/payment processing
POSITIONS REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to clean, reach, lift, stand for long periods of time
- Boating license preferred with boating experience/knowledge
- Driver’s license required
- Ability to swim preferred
- 9-hour shifts up to full-time hours during busy months
- Weekends and holidays required
- Seasonal position is from April through October
- May develop into a longer month position in the future
