Financial Analyst

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8 am – 5 pm | Salary: $32 - 38 an hour

Client Company: Harris County’s Public Health Services

Harris County Public Health Services Department is seeking a Financial Analyst to join their team! As the financial analyst you will manage audits and prepare financial reports. If you have strong budget management and analytical skills, this position is for you!

Financial Analyst’s Responsibilities

· Perform assessments of subcontractor fiscal management systems, prepare reports, manage contractor expense reports/spreadsheets

· Ensure that policies and procedures are being followed and record all findings

· Make formal reports of site visits and desk reviews

· Analyze final financial reports submitted annually

· Identify and resolve audit issues

· Conduct grant-related financial administration duties

Financial Analyst's Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, public administration, or a related field is required

· A minimum of 2 years of financial or accounting experience is required

· A minimum of 1 year of financial experience working on grants is preferred

· Texas driver’s license is required

· Skilled in Microsoft office suite (word, excel, PowerPoint, outlook)

· Excellent verbal and written communication
