Job Overview:
The primary responsibilities of this position include:
- Sell additional services and/or pest control protecton to owners or agents of homes, stores or industries
- Conduct inspections to identify infestations or conditions conducive to infestations of wood-destroying organisms and/or insects or other vertebrate pests
- Make proposals and presentations to obtain contracts
- Cover sales leads in assigned branch and develop multiple additional services and/or pest control sales creatively for each respective lead
- Creatively generate inspections to ensure productivity standards are met
- Manages collection effort on delinquent accounts of personal sales contracts
- Record accurate measurements and correct descriptions of inspected property
- Prepare appropriate specifications and treatment instructions in accordance with existing laws, regulations, and company policy
- Compute treatment cost from company pricing instructions
- Execute contracts on behalf of the company, observing company policy as to credit terms of sale
- Interact courteously with customers and leave customer premises and furnishings clean and as found
- Contact customers after completion of service to ensure satisfaction and develop additional sales prospects
- Maintain sales prospect files, call-back files and activity records
- Maintain equipment, vehicle, and personal safety equipment in clean and working order
- Complete all training courses applicable and required for position Possesses immediate knowledge of location and telephone number of local poison control centers
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED (or equivalent)
- Possess an active driver's license with a clean driving record (must pass our Motor Vehicle Records check and be 21 years of age to qualify for our company vehicle insurance)
- Must pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol test and a criminal background check
- Have a commitment to safety in all job areas, including driving, service, job site, ladder, roof, and training
- Ability to work Monday - Friday, some Saturdays, and some holidays
- Must earn and maintain state-required training and licensing (provided)
Strong consideration will be given to the candidates who
- 6 months+ experience in a sales position
- Have experience and knowledge of pests and chemicals used in pest treatments
- Have experience in creating sales leads and cross-selling company products and services
