  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    • Participate in special projects as requested such as assessing operational efficiency, contractual and financial compliance, evaluating internal controls, business acquisition support, and standardization of accounting practices and financial systems for a variety of diverse legal entities
    • Demonstrate the ability to be collaborative with the Accounting Special Projects team members and project stakeholders by exhibiting thoughtful understanding of objectives when tackling project deliverables and milestones
    • Draft clear and concise findings and recommendations and assist stakeholders in the implementation of those recommendations
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders
    • This is a highly diverse role, with dynamic project involvement and visibility to all levels of leadership throughout The Wonderful Company portfolio
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • 1-3 years of experience in operational or public Accounting
    • Demonstrated knowledge of and exposure to accounting and finance practices and processes, such as accounting close cycles, journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and adequacy of such accounting documentation
    • Ability to meet deadlines in a timely manner and manage multiple projects/deliverables
    • Working knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint and familiarity with enterprise accounting systems
    • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and work well in a team environment
    • Effectively communicate with management and all levels within the organization
    • Occasional travel- primarily to Bakersfield location. Corporate planes are available for travel.
    • CPA or currently pursuing certification (preferred)
    • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution
    • COVID vaccination will be required for this position unless candidate has a legally valid exemption
