We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Theater Designer and client advisor to join our team.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in client relationships, designing, documenting, and bringing to life CinemaTech's award-winning high-performance home theater venues. This position involves creating coordinated, accurate, and comprehensive design and construction drawing packages that facilitate seamless coordination among all trades and ensure precise construction.
This position will be full-time at the beautiful CinemaTech showroom. They will meet with clients in person and virtually.
The CinemaTech design team is involved from the initial design to the delivery of the project. The position requires a unique combination of design skills, sales, and client skills, and the ability to manage projects and stay organized. This position will also support the showroom and keep it maintained for showroom visits.
Key Responsibilities:
Client relationship – involved from the beginning (concept) to the end (delivery) of the design projects
Meet with Clients in Showroom, on-site and virtually to assist in earning the design job, producing the design job, selling and executing the design job.
Sales, project management and client relationship are critical in this role
Use AutoCAD to create detailed construction drawings in 2D, ability to do 3D, is a plus but not required
Help oversee success of design projects from design to delivery.
Sell and deliver job and always exceed client expectations – goal is always to get the referral.
Assist Design team with drawing production as needed.
Coordinate with architects and engineers to ensure accuracy of plans.
Revise drawings as needed to accommodate changes and updates.
Produce accurate and detailed quantity take-offs for materials and labor.
Organize and present quotes and scope of work for sign off.
Maintain accurate records of all drawings and revisions.
Utilize strong project management skills to ensure projects are completed on time, and up to company standards.
Demonstrate exceptional organizational skills in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Qualifications & Skills
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a design-related field – Required
Minimum of 2 years of experience in design, project management, or account management – Required
Strong sales and client communication skills – Required
Strong proficiency in 2D AutoCAD – Required
Knowledge and understanding of CAD standards; must pass a general CAD standards test – Required
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite – Required
Excellent communication and customer service skills – Required
Strong attention to detail – Required
Proficiency in 3D AutoCAD – Preferred
Experience with 3ds MAX, SketchUp, and Photoshop – Preferred
Background in Interior Design or Audio/Video fields – Preferred
High-end residential construction experience – Preferred
Affiliation or understanding of AES, SMPTE, CEDIA, AIA, AUGI – Preferred
Willingness to travel overnight to visit job sites, attend training, and participate in industry events across the state and at national job sites for site inspections and meetings
Ability to work independently or with a team

What We Offer:
The position offers a competitive salary starting at $75,000- $90,000 DOE
Full-time, Monday through Friday, with occasional evenings and weekends to meet deadlines or schedule client visits.
