You may have also acquired the following skills:
Demonstrated ability in engineering analyses or designing numerical methods. Experience with nuclear or thermal hydraulics preferred.
Experience with programming languages such as Python, C/C++, FORTRAN, and etc. Demonstrated ability with compiled languages (e.g., C/C++) preferred.
Experience with simulation software such as CFD and FEA. Demonstrated ability with STAR CCM+, RELAP, or similar analytical software preferred.
Effectively communicates highly technical topics to diverse groups which include Framatome management, customers and NRC staff.
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement computational methods to solve mathematical equations and simulations.
Your Opportunity
This full-time role is about making an impact on people’s lives and the future of clean energy. You will leverage your skills and experience to be part of an innovative team and make a difference for our customers. As a Thermal Hydraulics Codes and Methods Engineer in Richland, WA, you will be part of the proven team in the BWR Thermal-Hydraulics Codes and Methods Business Line in the Fuel Business Unit, which is responsible for maintaining and developing the engineering software used to design and license the fuel assemblies loaded in our customers’ nuclear reactor cores. The team performs research and development of new codes and methods, addresses emergent issues, and responds to requests from internal and external users. Your work will include:
Designing and implementing numerical methods and software to support Framatome projects
Performing safety analyses in support of core design and licensing Framatome fuel
Support interfacing with regulatory authorities to obtain regulatory approval of Framatome products

Framatome’s Richland, WA facility is a licensed nuclear fuel manufacturing site and complies with US Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and US Department of Energy (DOE) regulations. Your Total Rewards Package
The range of base salary for the position is between $81,000 - $105,000, and may also include annual incentives, performance bonuses and benefits. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
