    You have completed a BS in Mechanical Engineering, other engineering degrees will be considered. You may have also obtained an advanced degree in similar fields. You have worked in an engineering role for at least 5 years and are ready to join Framatome and help deliver clean, safe energy and advance nuclear technology.

    You may have also acquired the following skills:

    • Plants systems design and analysis, including experience with software such as ANSYS-Fluent, AFT Fathom, RELAP5. Emphasis on experience with computational fluid dynamics (CFD).

    • Ability to analyze customer's technical specification and apply appropriate product solutions to meet the customer's expectation in a cost-effective and timely manner.

    • Nuclear Industry experience and/or previous utility plant experience.

    • Familiarity with ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code.

    • Basic analysis tools and programming languages, including MathCAD and Python.

As a Thermal-Hydraulics Engineer in Lynchburg, VA (remote work will also be considered), you will be part of the proven team in the Products and Engineering organization in the Installed Base Business Unit. Your work will include:

    • Thermal-hydraulics analyses for operating plants, as well as advanced reactors / small modular reactors.

    • Under direct supervision, performs standard engineering work requiring application of established techniques and procedures to carry out tasks.

    • Planning / conducting a complete task or portion of a larger project under direction of more experienced staff.

    • With guidance, provide technical support for thermal-hydraulics analyses of nuclear plants.

    • Provides input to technical proposals and engineering advice as needed.

    Your Total Rewards Package

    The range of base salary for the position is between $95,000 - $129,000, and may also include annual incentives, performance bonuses and benefits. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
