    Bardes Plastics- Thermoform Tooling Technician

    Are you a skilled technician who enjoys working with tools and machinery? Do you have an eye for detail and the ability to maintain equipment with precision? If so, Bardes Plastic in Milwaukee, WI, is looking for a Thermoform Tooling Technician to join our team.

    In this role, you will be responsible for assembling, maintaining, and ensuring the efficiency of our production tooling. You’ll work closely with the tool room supervisor to perform preventative maintenance, clean and repair tooling, and maintain both physical and electronic inventories.     Key Responsibilities:

    • Assemble and disassemble new and existing production tooling.

    • Perform preventative maintenance, cleaning, die sharpening, and minor repairs on tooling.

    • Maintain an organized physical and electronic inventory of tooling components and supplies.

    • Coordinate production and tool room scheduling to meet company needs.

    • Use precision measuring devices to ensure accuracy in work.

    • Submit requests for major repairs or replacements and assist in prototype production for customers.

    • Follow safety protocols, including the use of required PPE and safe operation of tools and machines.

    • Maintain a clean and orderly work area and adhere to all safety and housekeeping standards.

    Qualifications:

    • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to identify and work with various hardware sizes, including bolt and thread sizes.

    • Ability to safely operate powered and non-powered hand tools, including vertical milling machines, drill presses, and bandsaws.

    • Proficient in the use of precision measuring tools like micrometers, calipers, and rulers.

    • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to follow written, oral, or diagrammed instructions.

    • Basic computer skills for data entry and report writing.
