The Maintenance Planner | | will perform planning and support functions necessary to maintain major | | surface mining equipment | +--------------------------------------------------------------------------+

    +--------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES | +--------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | ·       Under the general direction of the Maintenance Manager, the | | Maintenance Planner will perform planning and support functions | | necessary to maintain major surface mining equipment | | | | ·       Responsible for the scheduling, monitoring and coordination of | | mining equipment repairs using a computerized maintenance management | | system | | | | ·       Responsible for verifying, ordering, and expediting required | | materials and supplies in conjunction with scheduled equipment repairs, | | coordinating vendors, assisting with preparation of capital | | justifications and expense budgets | | | | ·       Coordinate with production to develop and maintain a | | preventative maintenance schedule that allows for increased equipment | | availability | | | | ·       Coordinate with maintenance supervisor to schedule personnel | | needed for repairs | | | | ·       Develop clear and concise work plans that can be easily followed | | by maintenance personnel | | | | ·       Conduct pre and post activity meetings to ensure repairs are | | completed as planned and recommendations can be made for future jobs | | | | ·       Plan and kit parts for repairs to increase wrench time and | | maximize mechanic efficiency | | | | ·       Estimate hours needed to complete repairs based on historical | | data and plan work accordingly | | | | ·       Identify significant recurring equipment failure patterns by | | analyzing maintenance history | | | | ·       Prepare statistical and costing reports and provide support for | | Maintenance Supervisor | | | | ·       Make recommendations regarding equipment replacement or upgrades | | | | ·       Assist with troubleshooting process and equipment problems | | | | ·       Performs pre-pm inspections to find problems and check current | | work orders for equipment | +--------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | ESSENTIAL EDUCATION: | +--------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | ·       High School Diploma or equivalent   | | | | ·       2-3 years in equipment planning, mining maintenance activities | | and/or equivalent industrial experience | +--------------------------------------------------------------------------+
