Job Summary
The Thrift Store Clerk reports to the Clothing Services Manager. The Clerk will work with a "Team Leader", other staff as well as volunteers in executing the duties and responsibilities of the Clothing Service department. This position is an hourly position. Work hours are varied to include weekends and nights. The employee assists with the overall accomplishment of the Clothing Service mission outlined in the guiding documents of the Foundation.
Responsibilities
• Executes the Donation Process • Replenishes sales floor • Operates Point of Sale system • Supports the cleanliness of the Thrift Store • Supports delivery service • Maintains good customer relations • Works harmoniously with volunteers • Serves as Team Leader as required • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience in pricing
Ability to work with others effectively and efficiently
Ability to work independently with little or no supervision
Ability to implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the Clothing Services Department
Ability to maintain the professional standards as outlined in Employee Handbook
Read, write, speak, and understand the English language
Able to work outside in the elements as needed
Complete assigned projects to ensure compliance and accuracy
Ability to read, count, write, and communicate English clearly and effectively
Understanding of sales techniques and best practices in customer service
Willingness to work well in a team environment
Ability to quickly and accurately work a register
Willingness to work a flexible schedule
