    Job Description

    As a Ticket Seller/Guest Assistance Representative you will be the face and voice of Blue & Gold Fleet, interacting directly with our valued guests. You will play a key role in ensuring that visitors have a seamless and enjoyable experience from the moment they inquire about our cruises to the completion of their voyage. A large part of your duties will be answering visitors’ questions, greeting guests, taking tickets, managing the queues, and relaying pertinent and applicable information.

    • Excellent communication skills – spoken, written, listening and comprehension.

    • Previous customer experience appreciated but not required.

    ** PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:**

    • * Provide excellent customer service by answering inquiries, addressing concerns, and resolving issues in a professional and timely manner.
      
      • Manage and respond to visitor inquiries ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
      • Provide support during embarkation and disembarkation, ensure guests are greeted, boarding procedures are followed, and departures are timely.
      • Be knowledgeable of all services offered and any variances to alterations to service.
      • Make clear and courteous P.A. announcements.

    ** SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:**

    • Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to handle customer inquiries and complaints with empathy and patience.
    • Ability to maintain a high degree of courtesy and efficiency in a fast-paced, time sensitive environment.
    • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on the needs of our operation.
    • Familiarity with the San Francisco Bay Area is a plus.

    Rate: $20.98/ hour

    This is a union position.

    Blue & Gold Fleet has been the premier provider of ferry and water excursion services on San Francisco Bay for over 40 years, offering the famous one-hour San Francisco Bay Cruise, the 90-minute Escape from the Rock Cruise around Alcatraz Island and a Sunset Cruise.

    Blue & Gold Fleet operates a fleet of 21 vessels and provides regular ferry service to Sausalito and through its contract with the Water Emergency Transportation Authority (WETA) service to: Harbor Bay, Main Street Alameda, Oakland, Richmond, Seaplane Lagoon, South San Francisco, Vallejo, Oracle Park (for San Francisco Giants games and special events) and Chase Center (for Golden State Warriors games and special events).
