Tier 1 IT Support Specialist
Job Description
Primary Role:
As a member of the IT support team, you will be the primary point of contact for IT support operations which includes the existing desktop and audio-visual environment for our client. You will provide telephone and desktop support to end-users and help ensure that desktop and AV technology is always an aid, not an obstacle. Working in a very demanding environment, you will need exceptional customer service skills to include excellent verbal and written communication abilities along with individual initiative while maintaining an end user-centered attitude.
Responsibilities:
• Provide telephone and desktop support for employees requiring technical help with server, desktop and laptop issues.
• Provide telephone and desktop support to users with LAN/WAN and/or VPN issues
• Open, update and close support work orders
• Assign work orders and dispatch Tier 2 desktop support technicians as needed for issue resolution
• Maintain and update the IT Support System database with accurate technology asset and end user information.
• Support and train new employees in proper system usage and security
• Monitor and manage all IT supports cases from creation through completion, keeping the end user updated at all times.
• Maintain the IT Support portal and update announcements and the knowledge base as required
Requirements :
• Working knowledge of helpdesk management applications i.e. Track IT, Service Now or Remedy
• 1-2 years of experience with Windows 2012/2016 Active Directory Account Administration
• 1-2 years of experience supporting Microsoft Office 365 applications
• 1-2 years of experience supporting Windows 10/11.
• 1-2 years of experience supporting Office 2016/2019.
• 1-2 years of experience supporting Apple iMac workstations
• 1-2 years of experience with PC hardware installation and configuration
• 1-2 years of experience supporting enterprise multifunction copiers
• Flexible schedule with work availability for some evenings and weekends
• Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to learn and develop technical skills
• A+, Network+, and/or MCP Certification preferred.
Salary Range and Benefits : $45,000-$50,000 based on experience. Benefits include: Medical, Dental and Vision.
