    Job Summary:

    We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Title Clerk/Accounting professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of title processing, automotive financing, and accounting principles. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the accurate processing of vehicle titles and maintaining the integrity of financial records. You will work closely with customers, dealerships, and financial institutions to facilitate a smooth title transfer process and contribute to the overall success of our company.

    Key Responsibilities:

    - Title Processing:
    - Prepare and process vehicle title applications and ensure compliance with state and local regulations.
    - Verify accuracy of documentations such as bills of sale, odometer statements, and lien releases.
    - Coordinate with customers to collect necessary documents for title applications and resolve any discrepancies.

    - Accounting Duties:
    - Maintain accurate financial records related to title transactions, including fees and payments.
    - Process accounts payable/receivable transactions and assist in monthly reconciliation.
    - Prepare financial reports and assist in budgeting processes as needed.

    - Customer Service:
    - Provide exceptional customer support by addressing inquiries related to titles, registrations, and financial matters.
    - Build and maintain strong relationships with external vendors, state agencies, and internal teams.

    - Compliance & Auditing:
    - Ensure adherence to all legal and regulatory requirements pertaining to title processing and financial transactions.
    - Assist in internal/external audits to ensure compliance with accounting standards.

    - Data Entry:
    - Accurately enter and maintain records in the company’s database and ensure up-to-date information is reflected.
    - Assist in the development and implementation of new procedures to improve workflow efficiency.

    Qualifications:

    - High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.
    - Proven experience as a Title Clerk or in a similar role, preferably in the automotive industry.
    - Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
    - Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks) and MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
    - Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
    - Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
    - Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
    - Knowledge of state title and registration laws is a plus.
